Vicki Hearn

Vicki Hearn

CEO

Vicki leads our strategic development as an independent charity, working closely with our Board of Trustees to deliver our purpose and maximise our social impact. Since joining the Trust in 2011, Vicki has led numerous initiatives that have helped to establish Social Tech Trust as the UK’s leading funder of socially motivated tech. Previously, Vicki worked for tech company RM Education, leading collaborative B2B and B2C programmes including Tesco Computers for Schools. She serves on a number of steering and advisory groups, including Fair by Design.

Deputy CEO & Investment Director

Ed joined the Trust in 2016 and leads our investment activity which includes our investments in Fair by Design, iAMDigital and BGV, as well as the development of new investment opportunities. He has a background in social investment and venturing and joined the team from the Cabinet Office, where he led the government’s work on innovative finance – blending philanthropic and commercial investment to scale ventures by developing initiatives including the Dementia Discovery Fund.

Trupti leads on all internal operations of the Trust to support the team, our Board and funded ventures. Trupti has veritable encyclopaedic knowledge of the Trust, having been here pretty much since we started, alongside a wealth of experience in systems and reporting from her background in finance.

Marketing and Communications Manager

Jess heads up our communications activity and ensures everything we do is driven by our vision of a world where social transformation drives tech. Jess is the voice of our organisation, sharing our passion for socially motivated tech, through an engaging variety of comms channels. Jess previously worked at RM Education, marketing tech to schools and building strategic partnerships with Education Authorities.

Annie works with our partners to ensure that social impact drives all of our investments and our programmes, such as Tech to Unite Us. She brings over 15 years’ experience in the social sector to her role as a Social Investment Manager and specialises in building cross-sector collaborations to find innovative ways to take on the biggest social opportunities of our time.

As a Social Investment Manager, Charlotte works to generate a strong portfolio of socially motivated tech ventures, supporting them to deliver social returns. Charlotte uses her skills in marketing and communications to deliver innovative funding programmes and is the project manager for social tech partnerships, including Vodafone Techstarter.

Social Investment Manager

Kathy has been with the Trust since 2012, and as a Social Investment Manager has plenty of experience in helping early-stage organisations to grow. She works closely with all the organisations the Trust invests in, as well as with collaborative partners, helping us maximise the social impact achieved with our investments.
