Our vision is a world where social transformation is the driving force behind tech. We’ve already invested more than £31m in almost 800 socially motivated initiatives over the last twelve years. Following a strategic review, we’re designing and delivering a new sustainable business model, which requires developing several new income streams. 


About this role 

We are seeking an individual to join us at an exciting time. There has never been a greater need for society to address the growing inequalities that have been accelerated by Covid 19. We need a dedicated individual to build our resource of key data that supports our understanding of social inequalities in our specific interest areas of health, wealth and communities to support the delivery of our strategy.  

This project is anticipated to be up to 3 months dedicated piece of work. 

At the end of this post, you will have delivered research that enables us to deliver our strategy with an understanding of social challenges, the role tech can play in the solutions and the impact that we want to see. 

Key Responsibilities 

>Targeted research to gain data and insights on the current social environment including data in inequalities, government policy on levelling up, projects underway to address the issues and important policy and legislation announcements. 

>Analysis of the research to identify opportunities and challenges 

>Desk research on recent publications and challenges identified 

>Identifying key potential research partners in the social impact environment, making suggestions for key areas we could develop and work together on 

>Analysis to support our work in programme and partnership development 


Key skills and experience 

>Proven research experience is essential, leading study from data collection to analysis 

>Strong written and presentation skills with an ability to identify and present relevant information clearly and succinctly

>Independent thinker able to manage their own workload with demonstrable ability to deliver to brief, under time pressure

>Forward-planner capable of prioritising

This role would suit a highly motivated individual with experience of research and analysis and a desire to gain experience in social impact.
