With a clear purpose to transform lives with tech, an expert team, supportive Board, and a strong portfolio of social tech start-ups, we’re ready to scale our impact. Our vision is a world where social transformation is the driving force behind tech. We’ve already invested more than £31m in almost 800 socially motivated initiatives over the last twelve years. Following a strategic review, we’re designing and delivering a new sustainable business model, which requires developing several new income streams.
About this role
We are seeking an individual to research and respond to grant opportunities in order for us to deliver our strategy and vision of a world where social transformation drives tech. There has never been a greater need for society to address the growing inequalities that have been accelerated by Covid 19 and we need a dedicated individual energised by our vision to join our team and make a positive difference.
This is an exciting short-term opportunity to contribute to our long-term sustainability at a pivotal time for our organisation.
This role would suit a highly motivated individual with experience of fundraising and bid writing.
>Lead on bid writing, ensuring that proposals are aligned to our objectives and the interests of the funder.
>Building relationships with funders to understand their funding strategy and share our work.
>Ensure bid budgets are fully supported by operational planning, with full support of the operational team.
>Develop plan to ensure successful bids are fully monitored, processes for impact measurement and evaluation are in place and key milestones are well communicated.
>Contribute to long term fundraising plan that supports our strategic objectives to ensure our work is fully funded and sustainable.
Key Skills and Experience
>Proven track record for overall responsibility in making successful grant application bids.
>Strong understanding of the current fundraising landscape and opportunities within the sector.
>Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to instigate and build strong relationships.
>Independent thinker able to manage their own workload with demonstrable ability to deliver to brief, under time pressure.
>Able to build into applications fully costed implications of delivery, ensuring full cost recovery.
>Forward-planner capable of prioritising.
> Enthusiastic with a strong desire for social impact and transformation.
