Role type: 3-month, UK based contract

Social Tech Trust is at an exciting stage. With a clear purpose to transform lives with tech, an expert team, supportive Board, and a strong portfolio of social tech start-ups, we’re ready to scale our impact. Our vision is a world where social transformation is the driving force behind tech. We’ve already invested more than £31m in almost 800 socially motivated initiatives over the last twelve years. Following a strategic review, we’re designing and delivering a new sustainable business model, which requires developing several new income streams.
About this role
We are seeking an individual to evaluate and initiate partnerships in order for us to deliver our strategy and vision of a world where social transformation drives tech. There has never been a greater need for society to address the growing inequalities that have been accelerated by Covid 19 and we need a dedicated individual to build lasting partnerships to enable us to develop programmes to achieve lasting change.
This is an exciting short-term opportunity to contribute to our long-term sustainability at a pivotal time for our organisation.
This role would suit a highly motivated individual with experience of business development, keen to gain experience of working in social impact.
>Research, build and develop the Trust’s corporate partnership pipeline, building relationships, pursuing live opportunities and converting to committed partnerships.
>Ensure potential partnership opportunities are fully researched and aligned with our strategic objectives and pitching appropriately targeted proposals.
>Understand strategic programme ambitions to ensure appropriately aligned corporate partnership approaches are made.
>Using networks and business development skills to conclude partnership development opportunities and realise income potential.
Key Skills and Experience
>Demonstrable business development and partnership building skills with a proven track record of securing high value partnerships
>Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to network and build strong relationships
>Independent thinker able to manage their own workload with demonstrable ability to deliver to brief, under time pressure
>Able to build into proposals fully costed implications of delivery, ensuring maximum return on investment that support overall strategic aims
>Experience of developing and leading new products or services in collaboration with delivery team
>Forward-planner capable of prioritising
